"One of graff’s greatest characters has passed on. Having set records for bombing outsides in his prime, he underwent a blood transfer after suffering kidney failure in 1996 as a result of a life of inhaling paint fumes, having started his world famous career in 1972. It was this same condition that finally claimed his life on June 17, 2009. Rest In Peace IZ.

Sneaker Wars 3 - Remaining Vans customs available @ TOP!

We were proud to be involved with this year's 3rd annual SNEAKER WARS this past Saturday, alongside Top of the World, Norml, and of course our homies Kapacity Entertainment. Thanks to everyone involved, including the collectors that brought out heat, the wide assortment of artists that participated and of course Vans for all their help. I can't forget to send a stoopid fat shout to the DJ's for the night, my man DJ Illo and of course the legend himself "Kool Bob Love' Bobbito Garcia, for blessing the jam proper. I will try to post some pics from the night soon.

For now, if you missed the night go down to Top of the World to peep the custom Vans... there are many still available for silent auction until the end of June!

1. Sneaker Battle

**Calling all Sneaker Heads! You think you got what it takes to be Ottawa’s sneaker champion? Simply send us pics of your shoe collection, with a small description to:

** Featuring men’s and women’s categories!

**All the finalists will be contacted and invited to showcase their 3 best shoes from their collection at Ritual Nightclub where this year’s champ will be announced!

**Finalists will also be responsible to build a display for their shoes and will be judged on their presentation.

** All entries must be received by Sunday, June 7th 2009

2. VANS Customs Battle!

** New this year, 20 local artists were handed a fresh pair of all white Vans shoes to customize anyway they choose.

** The shoes will be displayed at Ritual where you, the public, will help us pick the winner… Plus, place a bid during our silent auction and a pair of “Customs” could be yours!
